I bought this game in a thrift store for about 2 and a half dollars, so can't complain much, but I honestly think the older exclusively red (only cherries, vs. blueberries, oranges, and green apples) version was more little kid (and grandma) friendly. Our game has all the 'fruit' pieces but is for some reason missing one of the colored 'buckets'. There were no instructions. A puzzle was mentioned, but no puzzle was in the box. Basically, I sat and did my knitting while the 3 year old had fun chattering about the game and making up his own rules as he went along; not altogether a bad thing. I could not remember the significance of the dog and the bird. I am thinking a pill bottle would be a good holder for those fruit pieces, when putting the game away, as zipper bags break. We can only play this when little brother is asleep, as the pieces look like candy and are a choke hazard. The puzzle seems non-essential. I suppose we'll try it again. He wants to use all of the pieces even when only two people are playing, but can probably make the leap of logic and sharing if we involve 2 more people.

I am STILL looking for the directions for the new version with the puzzle. They were not in the box when I bought the game in a thrift store. Does ANYONE know how the puzzle fits in with the game?
